MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday May 21, 2017 at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Oblong, IL.
There will be no visitation and a Private family burial.

Ima Ruth “Ruthie” Sheridan, 90, of Oblong, IL passed away on Sunday April 16, 2017 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
Ruthie was born on December 18, 1926 in Humboldt, KS to Howard Jesse Beecher and Chrystal Sylva (White) Beecher. On April 9, 1949 she married Garvin F. Sheridan who survives.
Ruthie was a homemaker. She also assisted her husband as the District Treasure for the Wesleyan Church in Ohio for 21 years. Ruthie graduated from Decatur High School in 1944 and was a member of the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church of Oblong. Ruthie enjoyed playing music on the piano, organ and accordion. She also enjoyed being in the kitchen baking especially her oatmeal cookies.
Ruthie is survived by her husband, Garvin Sheridan, Oblong, IL; one daughter Sue Colbert, Oblong, IL; three grandchildren Randy and Heather Colbert, Carlinville, IL, Ricky Colbert, Carlinville, IL and Robin and Floyd Beckham, Litchfield, IL; six great grandchildren Talen Colbert, Raylen Colbert, and Ceanna Colbert all of Carlinville, IL, Summer Beckham, Olivia Mitchell and Sophia Beckham all of Litchfield, IL. Ruthie is also survived by two cousins Melvin Beecher, Corydon, IN, Garry Beecher, Detroit, MI.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Stanley Ward Beecher and Howard Beecher Jr.
